Lela wanted a wedding at the beach, yet close to Seattle so friends and family could attend. She couldn't find a location she could afford. She also needed help with decorating. She loved gerbera daisies, and hoped to find a way to mingle them with her beach dream.
What we did for Lela:
We found an available church hall, and decorated it with gerberas, sea shells, candles, and flowy fabrics. Table decorations included candles adorned with gerber daisies surrounded by glitter-enhanced sand and sea shells. Gerber wreaths hung on the walls. Oversized flowers connected by tulle swags were attached to chairs lining the center aisle. The vows were made under an arch and panel combination decorated with fabric, flowers, and lights. Fabric was hung behind the archway with a fan providing a "gentle ocean breeze".
Erin
Erin came to us to arrange her floral preservation. While talking with her, we discovered that although she had some ideas of what she wanted, she really had no idea of a theme or how she was going to decorate. She was especially concerned about the effects the afternoon sun would have as it shined through the windows into her venue.
How we helped Erin:
We created custom pillar candles by striping ribbon in Erin's colors and attaching jewels. Candles were nestled in shallow bowls containing translucent stones in Erin's colors. Table linens were made included crystal bead weights on the corners. "Conversation Stones" were created and scattered on each table. Curtains in her wedding colors & using crystal tie-backs were custom made for the windows to block the afternoon sun. Erin had requested a "candy bar" for her favor table, and we modified store bought gift boxes to match her theme colors. We also provided Erin with an indoor lit arch for the reception area, and decorated the outside arch where the ceremony was to take place. The Evergreen Dreams "dream team" did all the set up and clean up involved.
Rachel
Rachel wanted us to preserve her flowers, which she told us she had ordered in bulk. We found out that she had no idea what she was going to do with the flowers for the wedding itself.
How we helped Rachel:
Rachel brought huge bunches of roses, calla lilies, and astralmeria to our location for a "Bouquet Party". We supplied floral tape, pins, ribbon, etc. Together with Rachel and other female family members and friends, we created her bouquet, coursages for mothers, boutonnieres, and center piece arrangements. We stored the completed projects until the next day, when we took the items to the church where the reception was taking place.
